1964 Corvette Coupe. Perfect for original restoration or Restomod.
Second owner since 1966, still has 1968 dated title and lien release from 1968, Been off the road since 1973 when it was disassembled, and basically sat for 40 years. 76,151 miles on the odometer appear to be correct. All original body panels, No major accidents. I have the majority of the parts ( I have pictures of the parts, Glass, seats, moldings, interior trim, etc). But I am missing a molding here, a trim panel there, etc.
Anything engine or trans related is gone. This was car being done with intentions of getting a C6 frame, LS engine, etc. but things change sometimes in life. So someone has an opportunity to buy a project with 200 hours of the hard work professionally done.
The body was Walnut shell blasted. The body is all original panels, original panels meaning all original panels to this body, The birdcage is the best one I have seen, If you want to use the original Chassis, the chassis is excellent needing one 1” X 2” square patch behind the lower side molding. That was not fixed because we were changing the entire frame. The tub (Inner floor and tub) are perfect, no holes or cracks, never any repairs. The 4 speed opening is untouched. The entire rear end of the body was excellent with no dramas, the doors are excellent and both had minor dramas repaired. The front clip is all original and the only body damage was a minor bump in the right front corner. So minor it DID NOT affect any of the headlight structure, a couple minor glass repairs were professionally done in that corner,( I have pictures). The car had a tow bar at some point and there are some access holes for the tow bar to the frame in the front lower inner fenders that might need patched.
The birdcage is still virgin original. All other metal parts, the drip rails, window frames, inner door frames, door hinges, have all been glass media blasted and primed in DP90 Epoxy (I have pictures). The body has been polyester spray filled, blocked, skimmed as needed. The bolt on panels are original but “better then factory” gap work has been done to the doors, hood and headlamps (Headlamp need very minor finish work) . All highest end resin, Evercoat fillers and PPG priming materials have been used throughout. After misc repairs, blocking and gaping the body, a blocking coat of Polyester Spray filler has been applied, and that is where we stopped. Only for protection we put a coat of PPG K38 primer over the polyester spray filler to seal and protect all the hard work. Right now the body would need 180 blocked, minor imperfections taken care of, urethane primed and final blocked for paint.
As for parts, I have pics of everything I have for anyone getting real serious. I cannot post them all on ebay. The headlights are complete missing just the metal pivot balls, felts, limit switches. I have the motors, I also have one of the headlight harnesses new. I have front and rear glass in good shape, I have all the exterior window moldings except missing one molding. I have the seats in decent shape, frames are excellent, need recovered. The dash is great, the dash pads are perfect candidates to be restored, only a couple minor nicks. I would say 80% of the interior trim is there, I do not have bumpers, rocker moldings, anything engine / transmission related.
The knock offs are not 1964 dated wheels. I will be happy to negotiate a deal where I keep the wheels if someone does not need the knock offs.
As I said anyone that is interested and has a proper budget I will bend over backwards with parts pictures, any detail pictures someone needs. I will make myself available for a live inspection by a buyer or someone hired to inspect the car. I simply want to have a meeting of the minds on value before you make me into a circus poodle.
I encourage phone calls.
Trades are very interesting, cars, trucks, Harleys, Classics, as long as you are realistic about of the value of your trade and I have this priced very realistic.
So I am out of breath, I tried to talk about everything I could think of.
Good luck, bid high and make sure you win a excellent project.
