Description

UP for auction: 69 Camaro X66 D80 Coupe Barn Find! 48,971K original mile Lemans Blue Standard Black Interior. This car was just pulled out of a heated basement after 25+ years. Last time registered was 1991. This car is one of the most complete projects I have seen over my 15+ years in the business. As you can see from the pics, the car did at some point take a love tap in the right front. Pass Fender, Header Panel, Lower Valance and Rad Support will need to be replaced, other than the Rad support I will supply these replacement panels to the auction winner. Hood is missing and not included.
Lets talk about the sheetmetal: What needs to be replaced? Both outer Rocker Panels will need to be replaced, inner rockers are still solid. Trunk Pan needs to be replaced, at some point water sat in the trunk. Trunk Lid is not good, has a bit of rust under the lip. That is it. Floors are in nice original shape, Quarters were replaced at one point with GM Sheet metal and done correct..No bondo in them. Doors have the usual small bubble on the bottom side and Driver Fender is in excellent shape. As I said previously I will supply an Original Pass Fender. All trim for front/back window are present as well.
Interior: Interior is in very nice original shape. Headliner is in exceptional shape, Orig Carpets with asphalt sound deadner still intact. Dash Pad is orig and in exceptional shape, Door Panels, front and rear are there and ok, front has holes drilled for speakers. Console with guages in nice shape, NON Tilt column...7k Tach with 5k redline. Tinted glass is all present. Found the original owners manual in the glove box.
Drive Train: Comes with NON matching L78 Engine. 272 Block with assembly date of 5/27. 840 heads matching date of 3/26-3/31. Oil pan, crank 6223, balancer, timing cover, 621 bellhousing, with correct flywheel. 811 water pump as well. Comes with a NON Matching M22 Muncie..10 spline as seen in pics. I will include the correct case and tailshaft as well, if you are interested in swapping gears over to correct case. Rear is a 10 bolt, missing the original 12 Bolt.Disc Brakes are all intact with all correct components. Quick ratio steering arms, 633 brake calipers, caliper brackets, dust shields and large drag link. Has the correct Big Block Crossmember and heating equipment as well.
This X66D80 looks to have been an original 396/350 HP because of the dual fuel lines still present in car with the original gas tank. This car was assembled third week of september 1969. Almost 50 years later this car is still intact with a lot of its original equipment. Think to yourself how many times you have seen a Big Block X66 or X22 come up for sale! Dont let this get away, I've talked to many people already about this car, they keep telling me I've been looking for years for a REAL Big Block project! Here is your chance......Email me with any questions you may have...I will only give my phone number out once you email me. Car is sold with no written or implied warranties...Clear NJ TitleCar is for Sale Locally, I reserve the right to end auction early..Thanks
****. Solid!****************
