1955 Chevrolet 1/2 ton Short narrow box Big back window
Description
1955 late model 1/2 ton Short narrow Big back window. Older frame off nostalgic build/restoration about 25 years ago. I purchased it in 2001 at Hot August Nights. Seller at that time lived in Northern California, where the vehicle was previously owned and maintained by a utility company. NO RUST issues anywhere or anytime. Lots of upgrades and chrome. The 1971 Z28 350 engine makes it a thrill to drive. The vehicle is very smooth and turns like a late model Camaro. Street Rod Engineering independent front suspension professionally installed. Front power disc brakes, power rack and pinion steering. Aluminum fuel cell. Factory type rear end is chrome with around 3.73 rear gears. Aluminum wide ratio 4spd transmission. The odometer reads 81670 miles and I believe it is original on the body however, I can not prove it and it doesn't really matter because you will agree when you see it. Some of the glass is still original. The paint has a few scratches and blemishes, but what 25 year old paint doesn't that has been driven on the street to several cruise-ins. If you want a $100k show truck to trailer around to the shows, this is not it, but it could be if you don't just enjoy driving it and getting thumbs up all the time or people wanting to take photos of a dream they long forgot about or gave up on. The photos tell a huge story. Reasonable reserve so good luck bidding. Bonus: Purchase it by using the buy it now button and receive a like new black The Heartbeat of America 30 year old jacket as a bonus.
