Description

Offered for sale is a second-owner 1970 Impala convertible. Of the 612,800 Impalas built in 1970 (America's best-selling car for over a decade!), only 9562 were convertibles. This low-mileage cruiser is powered by the factory high output 300 HP Turbo-Fire motor mated with a Turbo Hydra-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission. The vinyl top works well and it is in good condition, but has a few small cracks at some corners and below the glass rear window (I posted one example photo, and there are a few more similar). Parts of the body have been repainted and there has been some well-done body work. The rear seat is near perfect, but the front seat needs to be recovered. The door armrest bases have lost their color and need either repainted or replaced. Power steering and AM radio; the windows, locks, and brakes are manual. The fuel gauge does not work; probably the sending unit. I also have both rear quarter panels and wheel houses - GM factory original parts - ready for use if you want to do a restoration.
