1972 CHEVROLET CAMARO Z 28 REPLICA.....VIPER BLUE PAINT
Description
THIS 1972 Z28 REPLICA SPLIT BUMPER HAS THE LOOK! The viper blue paint is the right color with the white stripes, the 17 inch American Racing wheels look great, the interior had to be black, its powered by a 350 engine, connected with a dependable Turbo 350 automatic transmission and positive traction rear-end with 3.73 gears. HOW IS THE BODY? The body looks straight down the sides, I see no rust bubbles, the frame looks good, the floors look good, I see some rust color metal and a little crust, but to me it is a good body. WHAT IS THE HISTORY? I do not have a clue, the does say it was titled in Indiana. I bought it from a car restoring friend that lives near Cincinnati. IS THIS A REAL Z28? No, its just a replica. HOW IS THE ENGINE? Its a good running 350 with a nice looping cam. I hear no knock or rattles. Its not the original, the engine casting numbers are 3970014, the web sit I googled said this is a 70-73 Camaro 350 built in California, this car was not built in CA. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a Turbo 350 automatic that shifts good to me with a ratchet shifter. WHAT IS THE REAR-END? its a 10 bolt positive traction with 3.73 gears. HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK! BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! HORN NOT WORKING! GAS GAUGE WORKS! WIPERS WORK! HOW IS THE PAINT? Its decent upper end driver quality. Past owner said it was viper blue and the stripes are painted on. The body is straight when you look down the sides, I see no rust bubbles, I see some tiny flaws if I look with a critical eye, the hood and trunk must have been painted off or at a different time, under the right light the shade is a little darker. The paint looks good, its just a driver, not a $20,000 paint job. Pictures will not show this up, almost all cars on ebay look better in pictures. WHAT ARE THE BRAKES? Disc in front and drums in rear, they stop fine. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I consider it driving good. HOW IS THE CHROME? Good bumpers and door handles. HOW IS THE GLASS? Windshield looks new, side windows look original with some marks from rubbing the weather stripping. HOW IS THE EXHAUST? Full tube headers, decent sounding mufflers. HOW ARE THE WHEELS? Real nice 17 inch American Racing Special Edition wheels with good tires. WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Athens, Tennessee 37303.
