Description

We have ForSale an unbelievable Low Mileage 1963 'GEM' of a Chevrolet Corvair . . .

With Upgraded 'Second Generation' Corsa-powered 140 HP Engine of Choice!

Fine Vintage automobiles are our Passion and Hobby ... We rarely have one offered For Sale ... To a good Home only!

After sales of the Corvair began to pick up in the early-mid 60's, the "Need for Speed" was recognized and thus the Corsa with 4 carburetors was created as the upgrade of choice. The standard flat 6 made, at most, about 100 horsepower. With the Corsa, it was ditched and upgraded in favor of a 140 horsepower 6 cylinder engine, which was rather peppy in such a small car and this unit came equipped with the optional 4 speed manual transmission which makes driving this little classic a true pleasure.

Nice solid Corvairs are getting harder to come by and finding one in this condition is even harder yet. Finding a Corsa 4-Carb upgrade 140 HP engine with only a few thousand miles on it is nearly impossible. This winner will rate plenty of thumbs-up and smiles as you cruise up the Highway!Jump In ... Ready to Roll! ThisAqua beauty is restored to it's original splendor, with the only exceptions being a handful of optional upgrades, Corsa-inspired Gauges and a set of Chromed Custom Wheels with near-new Kumo tires.

The interior, as mentioned, is nearly impossible to tell from original - and why shouldn't it be? After all, this time capsule has only traveledaround 33,000 miles since new and has also been upgraded and restored! One turn of the key and this Corsa 6 cylinder fires right up and sounds fantastic. If you have ever wondered what a new '63 Corvair Coupe drives like, now is your chance to find out. The Air-Cooled engine purrs and really moves with the upgrade to the Corsa ... smooth acceleration and great Highway speed makes this rocket the exceptional and Ultra-Cool Corvair specimen!

Ready to jump in and Drive or Enter in a Car Show - everything from Paint to Rubber to Seats, Headliner, Dash and Carpet is nearly impossible to tell from Showroom Original! This awesome Corvair has been a labor of Love ... over the past few years more than double our asking price has been spent with care and enthusiasm to create the finest Corvair we could imagine! I have cars 50 years newerthat don't show this wellor perform this well - this Gem is in fantastic condition!
