1960 60 Chevrolet Chevy Impala Belair 2 Door Dr Hardtop Lowrider Classic Custom
Description
This car has been taken down to the frame and completely new everything. Frame and all suspension was wrapped by Chris Oxendine at all-wrappedup in 3/16" and 1/4" plate steel top bottom and sides. Upper A-arms extended 3/4". Trailing arms extended 8" and banana bar replaced with wishbone to center rear axle. Rear axle narrowed 2" per side with new Moser axles. Front disc brake conversion and unbreakable ball joints installed. Upgraded 302 power steering box. Frame is fully powder coated to match body color. A-arms and rear end where powder coated in silver metallic. Sorry, no chrome here. All poly bushings. Body was completely restored to mint condition original factory suntan copper poly with a fawn beige roof. the dash is also suntan copper done semi-gloss as original. All body work and paint was done by Scott Winfield in North Carolina. Absolutely can't be better. Zero rust, No Bondo work. All metal. All perfection. The front has 10" Black Magic cylinders and rear has 23" Black Magic telescopic cylinders. Car is capable of an 80" hop and 36+" 3 wheel motion. Engine is a Chevrolet Performance 350ci 345HP ZZ1 crate engine. I did purchase it from a friend with 12,000 miles but had the engine disassembled and verified accountable. The intake was replaced for a carb setup or standalone Holley Fi. You'll have to buy it. Transmission is a 700r4 completely rebuilt as new with stand alone torque converter lockup installed. Drive shaft was custom built from Arizona Driveline with a 10" slip yoke and dual CV joints. The car can be driven completely locked up or full 3 wheel without binding this setup even with 23" telescopic cylinders. You'll receive 4 second-hand pumps. Two are piston pumps and two are fat housings with 1" outlets and dual return. Also have 1 Adex dump and two standard dumps. All this stuff is chrome but needs internals freshened up before use. I have all the trim and all the glass. The trim needs restored/polished/anodized but is not junk. You could use the trim as is but it needs polish at a minimum. The glass should be replaced as well. The side window frames are pitted up and available new from Hubbard's Impala Parts. But your welcome to take the original with you. I have a new gas tank in the box. The interior will have to be done but seat frames are good. All interior trim is also in good condition. you'll need new taillight lenses etc. You'll need a painless wiring harness. You'll need the Vintage Air setup made for the 60 impala. Basically you'll have to finish it but what you have here is an amazing machine. The title is clean and clear NC title in my name. This is what nobody ever finds. Ever. Here it is. I've spent well over 40k in the car already. That's what you're getting here. The pictures can't say enough. Someone is going to be a happy buyer i assure you. For you guys that don't care for the lowrider scene the only modification as of now to the body is 6 holes in the trunk pan. Two for the rear cylinders and four to match the added frame mounts for a pump/battery rack. You'll still need to build the rack for all you still going to run this setup. The frame could be swapped original if that's your thing. As of now the car hasn't been on the road nor has the hydraulics been finished installed. I don't know what else i can say. Please if you have a question feel free but no you can't drive it home. If you want to ship it overseas that's on you. I highly suggest when shipping you should consider a high quality enclosed transportation company, this car shouldn't be moved on the back of a open semi-truck. A single flat bed truck might be acceptable but all the trim, seats, pumps, etc. need extra care and i don't think putting them inside the car is the best option. I don't have any idea even how i would transport the glass for example. It would be best if you arranged to come and take all the parts in a U-haul separately. If you want the car finished and shipped I have a excellent recommendation for a shop to do it with perfection although that would be between you and them. Happy bidding!
