Description

I have up for auction this cool old 56 Bel Ai, I got this car earlier this year from a fellow who bought it back in 1967 as his first ca, he had driven it until 1974 when he parked it in his mothers garage and completely went through the entire brake system and the complete suspension using all brand new GM parts and that is where it sat ever since until I bought it back in the sprin, it is as it was the last time he drove it in the early 1970, the car has a 1969 Crate 327 300hp motor he had bought new in 1969 from a local chevy deale, the heads were bought brand new from the same dealer in 1970 and are 202 head, has a 4:11 posi rear and a Muncie 4sp, upon my purchase of the car I went through the entire fuel system from Tank to Carburetor and replaced everything along with the radiator, thermostat ec, the front end and 4wheel drum brakes all are in fantastic shap, I drove this car quite a bit over this summer and it really is a blast to drive the only thing I would do to this car aside from drive it is install a transmission crossmember as it has the old style solid mounts attached to a scatter shield and it creates a driveline vibration because of it, and the tires are old so I don't think I would trust them on any long trips.. It never bothered me enough to change it as I live in a small town and 20-30 mile trips were usually all I took it on  , everything works accept for the speedomete, the Tach, The Radio and the vacuum wipers while everything is there I never tried to run vacuum to them .. Body is in fair condition, it is not a typical northeast rot box but it does have some typical rust in the doglegs of the front fenders headlight areas of front fenders and the end braces that meet up to the rocker panel, some small holes in floor, trunk floor is real nice but inner seem where wheel house meets the inner quarter does have the pinstripe rust line... interior is ratty but its all there ... everywhere I drove this car this summer people fell in love with it because its simply a time capsule of the era .. If I did not have so many cars I would keep this and keep using it as a daily summer driver but I really don't want to leave it outside throughout the winter , any serious questions can call me at 203-305-0527 Chuc, car is sold as is where is with no warrantees .... Connecticut is a Non Title state so I do not have a Title for this car and connot obtain on, all I can do is sell it on a bill of sale so check with your state DMV before bidding if you think this is going to be an issu, the car is 100% legal and does belong to me, again I can be reached at 203-305-0527 with any serious questions.. Thanks
