The car was rescued from a 25 year hibernationfrom dry storage in NC. Note the 1991 inspection sticker. The body was in excellent overall condition, no rust or damage. The paint was removed to the red oxide base primer, blocked and sprayed in high build gray primer. A new coating of B/C in the original colors was applied. Floors, trunk in original rust free condition. No body panels required replacement, all original to the car, no frame damaged noted.
The rehab included a 350/350Chevrolet combination, built 1970 4 bolt block, a modern 500 series steering system with a tilt column, all wheel cylinders and master cylinder, etc. replaced, U-joints, door seals, bumpers and other misc. trim. The BelAir SS trim was in excellent condition, no dents, scrapes, etc., rear pinion seal replaced. All lights, wipers, heater work as intended. The engine is properly cooled by an electric fan with an adjustable temperature sensor.
Drives and stops as it should with improved steering system.
