Description

Here is a 1979 Chevrolet CHEYENNE C30 DUALLY with a custom PIERCE ARROW Rescue/Utility BED. This was used for many years as a Rescue truck for our Fire Dept.
This truck used to have an old 454HP engine, but it was replaced in 2005 with a NEW 350HP JASPER MOTOR. The truck had 17814 miles on the old engine, when it when it was replaced. It has only been driven 1280 miles since the new motor!! However, since it has been sitting so much...it is running a little rough. It just needs a tune up I'm sure.
The overall body on this truck is in EXCELLENT shape for its age!! You talk about something that would be great for another volunteer fire dept....or repurpose it and use it as a Utility truck for a Construction contractor!! There are MANY very nice compartments and PULL OUT SHELVING. You could store any tool or equipment in there and access it easily with these pull outs!

There might be a little SURFACE rust, but very little. I found a couple spots starting under the wheel wells...but over all the body is in great condition!!
You talk about some DIAMOND PLATING...this Truck is decked out in it!!
Original Generator has been removed...but has a storage compartment for it if you wanted to reinstall one. There are 110V plugs on exterior that are believed to have been powered by the generator...they have not been tested to see if they work now. It looks like there is a switch in the cab for these 110V outlets to function, but didn't test.
There are good Goodyear Wrangler tires on the truck.
It has a power PTO WINCH in the front, but we could NOT get it to work. It hasn't been used in many years. It may still work, but we couldn't figure it out!! LOL.. However it is being sold AS-IS not working.

Regular maintenance is done by the firemen themselves in house...oil changes, brakes, tire rotations...etc. Besides the new engine in '05, there hasn't been any other major repairs needed for this truck.
There MAY BE some screw holes & antenna plugs in places whereequipment was located on the truck. The emergency lights in the grill have been removed...may have minor damage to the grill cover. There are some plugs on the roof, where a light bar was installed...they don't leak.
