This Van Nuys built 69 z/28 had been parked since the mid-1980s, it has now been completely rebuilt mechanically and freshened up all the way around, inside and out.

The body on this car is super solid with zero rust and has its original frost green paint under the blue repaint from the late 70s/early 80s It still has its original short spoiler with the frost green paint up underneath as seen in the photos. it also has all its original Z 28 emblems as can be seen on the grill and rear panel that have been left untouched since the 70s repaint. The floors on this car are still in perfect condition and look brand new other than a few holes that were drilled in the rear section in the past for racing suspension and the rear fuel cell and batteries.
This car was a street strip car/road racer so it had a racing fuel cell the trunk which was removed and a new trunk center floor patch had been installed, also seen in the photos.
The rear battery shut off switch has been left in place, the sides and hood of this car have been touched up, there were a few dents and dings/graphics that were removed, block sanded, sealed and repainted. The rest of this car still has the awesome patina from the 1970’s.
The car has a correct replacement ‘69 #618 4 bolt main engine block fully rebuilt with the 302 Rotating assembly.
Also Correct ‘69 #186 2.02 heads completely rebuilt with stainless steel valves hardened seats, PC seals, screw in studs, double springs, guide plates and roller rockers.
The engine has its original Z/28 valve covers, deep groove pulley’s and correct 8-inch balancer. It has a vintage Offenhauser cross ram which was smoothed and polished originally and has now been blasted clean for a more original look with the GM parts and pieces on top along with two holly 600 double pumper‘s and correct air cleaner assembly.
New exhaust front to back with Hooker competition headers, new pipes and turbo mufflers.
This car has a Muncie M 21 close ratio 4 speed with brand new Hurst indy linkage, scatter shield and new aluminum flywheel.
The rear end is a desirable BU code 69 12 bolt 3.73 posi fully rebuilt with a C clip eliminator kit added, all new u-joints, air shocks, brakes and a driveshaft loop around the driveshaft, subframe connectors
It has Wilwood front disc brakes with all new bearings inside and out and brand-new power brake booster and master cylinder.
The interior is mostly vintage but it has been freshened up with new carpet, dash pad and window cranks. It still has its original vintage Stewart Warner gauge panel and sun super tach from the 60’s -70’s.
The window tracks have all been cleaned, greased and operate as they should. This car had originally had a green interior but had been changed to black sometimes in the 70s.
This 69 Z/28 runs and drives great and also sounds amazing and is ready to get some miles on it after a complete freshen up, but still has the vintage patina that most people are looking for with a barn find car.
Clear title in hand and currently registered in California.
