Description

You are looking at a rare 1955 210 Townsman Wagon with very low ORIGINALmiles. This rare car has an all metal body (zero fiberglass!), custom enamel paint (matched to '72 Corvette yellow), while the seats are original they were recovered with custom clothe, matching headliner, and gray carpet. It also has a custom steering wheel but, I have the original steering wheel and will gladly include it with purchase.
This cool California surf-mobile has the famous Crager SS rims, headers and dual exhausts (has a great exhaust note). While shown installed in the photo's, the Thule surfboard racks are currently off the car but again, I will gladly include those if they buyer wants them. The brackets mount with no holes in roof and they can be easily installed/removed in minutes.
Despite the custom show car appearance, this is a numbers matchingclassic with original motor and transmission. Motor is a 265 V8 with approximately 60,100 original miles (*Note - miles may vary slightly due to local weekend cruises with my kids). Keep in mind that these are all original miles! The transmission is a desirable, original two speed Powerglide automatic. Last month (May) I had a new cam installed (still had original cam), had the motor painted and had a disc brake conversion installed. All this work was done by by a local restoration company. The brakes make huge difference! The body is solid but the paint has spots that could be touched up. I highly recommend contacting me to schedule a time to see the car in person.
VEHICLE HISTORYI purchased this car from my childhood friend who owned for 28 years. He purchased it from a gentleman in Amherst, New York when he was only 15 years old. It still had the original paint and interior when he bought it. After owning it for 2 years he sent it out to have the car professionally painted and interior redone. We had many great memories in this car as we spent most of our high school years cruising to cars shows. After 28 years of ownership he needed to sell the car for financial reasons. I just hated to see this car go. So, I bought it with the hopes that my son would take an interest in classics. Unfortunately, he more into tuner cars. Since my son doesn't have an interest and the fact that our garage space is limited I have decided to sell. This car is ready to be cruised, shown, and enjoyed as is, or can easily be restored to original museum quality condition with only paint and an interior kit or you could drop a 540 Merlin big block in it, tub it and have one heck of a hot rod. This car needs nothing except a family to enjoy it as mine has for decades.
ABOUT MEI have been buying & selling on eBay since 2005. Over that time I have received 1,900+ positive feedbacks. I have never received a negative feedback (not even a neutral!) and I'm not about to let that change. Over the years I have sold many high end, luxury & exotic vehicles as well as many luxury wristwatches. My name, reputation and honor is something I take great pride in. And I'm not willing to risk it just to make a quick sale. That being said, if you feel I misrepresented this vehicle in any way or if the vehicle is not as described, you can walk away.
