*** THIS IS A ORIGINAL HOT ROD BUILT BY THE ORIGINAL OWNER. GARAGED AND BABIED SINCE 1959 ***
1959 Impala 2 door post/Biscayne. 85k original miles. One owner. Originally built in Oakland CA, then shipped to Albany Oregon where it was purchased by the original owner. Original window sticker and all dealer papers. This car has been garaged since 1959 when it was purchased by the original owner. 100% original near mint paint and original interior. The original owner removed the stock motor and transmission and replaced it with a built 383 stroker, Muncie four speed, suspension upgrades, headers, dual side exhaust making this a ultra rare original old school "original hot rod" from back in the day. This is one of the best original paint/interior Impalas you will ever see. The car runs and drives great.
MOTOR & TRANSMISSION- Low miles on professionally built 383 stroker. Camel hump heads, Headman headers, roller rockers, cam, Edelbrock Performer intake, Edelbrock carb. Fresh complete tune up with new plugs, belts, wires, radiator hoses, coolant flush. New AC/Delco battery and one wire alternator. Rebuilt Muncie four speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter and linkage. New clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing. One piece drive line. 336 gear ratio rear axle. Dual side exit exhaust with chrome tips and Flow Master mufflers. Aluminum coolant overflow reservoir.
PAINT & BODY- 100% original paint (Aspen Green) code number 903A. NO PAINT WORK OR RUST EVER! The original paint is in unbelievable condition. The paint shines like new! Most people who see the car think its been restored. There is absolutely zero rust on this car. The Impala was garaged by its original owner from 1959 to present. Perfect Aluminum body trim. Front and rear bumpers are in excellent condition.
INTERIOR- The original interior is in unbelievable condition. The dash is in mint condition. The car still has its factory original radio block of plate. The original owner never installed a radio.... I had the original front seat green plaid fabric replaced with new old stock fabric I found at S&S fabrics in Canby Oregon. I had my upholstery shop reuse the original vinyl on the front seat as I wanted to keep the car as original as possible. The rest of the interior is 100% original and in near mint condition. The rear seat upholstery is original and in exceptional condition. The factory green/black rubber floor mat still looks new. I installed racing lap belts and a period correct grant wood steering wheel. I did save the original steering wheel and seat belts. All electrical works including dash and dome lights. Heater and wipers work great. All gauges work well. All windows roll up and down nicely.
BRAKES & SUSPENSION- New front brakes, wheel cylinders, rubber brake lines. Fresh brake fluid flush. Front wheel bearings repacked and serviced. New front KYB gas adjust shocks up front, air shocks rear.
OTHER- Original window sticker and sales contract. Original manual and dealer protection manual. Brand new Cooper Cobra tires w/ 15x7 and 15x8.5 Torque Thrust D wheels. Original spare, jack, lug wrench, and trunk mat. New oil and water temperature gauges. Original license plates with metal 1959 tabs! Original "Albany Oregon" front license plate frame. New heater motor resistor. New fuel tank and sender. original keys fit all
locks..
I thought I would keep this car for ever, however I have very regretfully decided to sell the 59 Chevy to finish another restoration. This is a one of a kind piece of classic/muscle car history.
