Description

This is a 1986 Chevy but I like the look of the round headlights, so I made it look like a 1978 Chevy.
Custom driveshafts for the cummins/NV4500/NP205 swap.
3 inches were added to the stainless mirrors to help see around the Dually fenders, so I didn't have to use huge west coast mirrors.
Matching set of General 225/19.5 tires on very hard to find 8 lug 19.5 rims.
5 inch exhaust coming from the turbo, straight into the side pipe.
Interior all new, professionally upholstered. The bench seat was rebuilt, very comfortable, door panels are upholstered also, both in a high grade black vinyl with great texture. All glass has a light tint job, looks very nice in my opinion.
HID headlights
Steel cowl hood, painted inside and out, on factory hinges.
Warn winch bumper on front, with badlands 12,000lb winch.
The truck was taken down to a bare frame, sandblasted and assembled with much care.
Original one ton 4x4 Dually with the thick frame, Dana 60 front, and I swapped out the 14 bolt for a Dana 70. The rear has a sway bar, front has 3 additional short leaf springs added to support the cummins engine.
Axles have 4:11 gears in them. New brakes front and rear. When I removed the hydroboost, I used a master cylinder for a suburban, it could use an adjustable proportioning valve, majority of the braking is done by the rear.
Engine is a rebuilt cummins with a VE pump, HE351vgt turbo. The turbo is a variable vein turbo, controlled by the handle on the shifter. New bearings in the 5 speed NV4500 transmission, new bearings in the front and rear axles.
Truck rides very nice, and goes down the road straight, even with no hands on the wheel.
