Description

With its sharp exterior in great form and the fresh power sitting under its hood sounding a great exhaust note, this 1972 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne will draw plenty of attention pulling up to a work site or simply bearing the load of your weekend warrior activities. Not only does its long bed configuration provide plenty of cargo room, but it's also equipped with the features you'd want in a frequent driver. As a '72, this C10... closed out the second generation of its model, aptly named Chevy's "Action Line". It certainly looks the part. It wears a sharp, black and white paint scheme whose clean condition adds an air of vitality to this classic truck. The long stretches of trim running down its sides don't show any serious dings or blemishes and the bumpers both fore and aft sit level and feature clean, shiny chrome. Chevy added the distinctive "egg-crate" front grille the year before this truck debuted, and it's looking good here, carrying a crisp blue Chevy bowtie in its center that appears to be freshly painted. Its other exterior fittings all present well and the badging on all four sides - including the "Cheyenne" emblems on its front fenders to denote its special edition status - is also in good shape. The sliding, full-sized rear windshield is a nice feature that offers improved air ventilation should you ever choose to add a shell in back. The parchment colored bench seat, door panels and headliner inside contrast nicely with the black steel that surrounds them and you'd have to take a very close look to find any signs of wear on their vinyl surfaces. The stock Chevy steering wheel is in unusually clean condition, and the dash area looks sharp with its woodgrain-accented instrument offering an assortment of functional and easily readable gauges as a supple, new-looking dash pad runs the width of the cabin above. The A/C system has been upgraded with a new compressor and upgraded R134a freon to keep you and your passengers comfortable. There's a substantial bed area in back that looks straight and solid, with a black liner that's performed its protective duties well. You'll find a few scuffs that serve as the badges of honor of real world use, but no serious signs of any mishaps. The power to propel this workhorse comes via a 350 cubic inch V8 crate engine. With just 6000 miles under its belt, it's just entering its prime and carries an Edelbrock 4-barrel carb on top and a pair of long tube headers on its sides to maximize its output as it teams with a 3-speed automatic TH350 transmission to make up a high-functioning, low-effort drivetrain. The powerplant sits in a very clean engine compartment surrounded by fresh hoses and belts and neatly routed wiring. The flat black inner fenders provide a great backdrop for the sharp looking engine components, while a generously proportioned aluminum radiator sits at the front of the bay to keep engine temperatures under control. Power steering makes this classic truck easy to navigate, while power brakes at all four corners, with discs up front, provides fade resistant stopping power as it plies its trade on a set of 15" aluminum wheels outfitted with BF Goodrich T/A radials. The view from below is reassuring - after more than 45 years on the road, the undercarriage may show some patina, as you'd expect, but its floor pans look solid and its frame rails are straight. Anyone looking to get behind the wheel of a great looking, highly functioning classic pickup should put this 1972 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne on their "must see" list. Call today!
