1992 Caprice 9C1 Police package No Reserve
Description
1992 Chevrolet Caprice with the 9C1 police package. This is an original police car but not an original SFPD car. From what I was told it was originally from Oregon. I got the car from a small movie car rental company, I was told it made many appearances in TV shows and movies filmed in the San Francisco bay area. The movie company painted the car to resemble a San Francisco police car, the SFPD stars are magnets so the car could be marked as any department. The magnets are included. The paint is an older repaint and there is some fading and dings on the body which actually makes it look more realistic. A picture of the SPID tag on the trunk lid is included to verify equipment.
The car starts and sounds good, It hasn't been driven any distance in a year or more but the brakes work well and the transmission seems to shift well around my lot. Being a movie car it wouldn't be driven much. The A/C is not cold and the airbag light is on, I was told the movie company disconnects the airbags but I've never looked into it so I can't say for sure. The car should be inspected and serviced before driving on the roads.
I bought the car to restore to another agency but my plans have changed. There is a clear Nevada title and the car is non op so no back fees are due.I'm happy to work with your shipper, whether in the U.S. or globally. Shipping costs and arrangements are the buyer's responsibility. I don't know how much it will cost to your location, you'll have to find out for yourself.
A $500.00 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours via paypal, the balance is due within 7 days of auction end in the form of cash (in person) cashier's check or bank wire transfer. Paypal is NOT acceptable for the balance due. All payments will be verified before the car will be released.
The car is sold AS-IS, where is. It is not perfect but is being sold with a low starting bid and no reserve
