Description

A True Barn Find" Project Car 1964 CHEVELLE SUPER SPORT CONVERTIBLE 283cu" Powerglide automatic. Car was parked in the previous owners garage unmoved since 1983 !! This car is a true time capsule.
Shop says they will be happy to talk to any SERIOUS buyer and make car available for potential buyer to inspect.
VIN = 4 5867 B 100299
4 = 1964 58 = Malibu Super Sport, 8-cylinder 67 = Convertible B = Baltimore Plant 100299 = Was the 299 Chevelle to come off the Baltimore line.
Bought from the second owner who claims to have purchased it sometime in 1965, original documentation shows it was originally titled on Nov 27,1963, she claims to have purchased it a year later.
Car appears to have all it's original equipment, motor, transmission etc. No VIN numbers are on engine pad but is stamped with the date of August 1963. The VIN number's last 3 digits are 299 indication it was the 299th chevelle off the Baltimore plant. So this coordinates with the number on the engine pad.
This car is rough and needs work, which is why I'm selling it as a project car. I do consider it a Barn Find given that it was sitting unmoved since sometime in 1983.
Although this car is a little rough, I believe it will be a very valuable car when finished. It's a convertible, It's a Super Sport, has a 283 cu" V8, Powerglide automatic, with Super Sport bucket seat interior.
I suspect the radio, which appears to be original, may actually work since i could hear stati, suspect no antenna being the reason couldn't hear music.
This EXACT CAR, including all the colors, sold at Mecum Kissimmee 2018 for $49,500. If you look at the pictures, you'll see this car as it will look when restored.

Note : I've twice had problems with responding to a couple different bidders due to eBay techincal problems. If you did not get a response from me, please let me know and I'll respond again.
I've got new pictures of all the trim pieces and Interior. Interior shows how good of condition the rear seats are and a partial view of the floor pan over the axle.
Also included are 4 patch panels, two for lower door each side and two for below front fender. I'm including 4 SS hubcaps ( not pictured ) that were NOT original to the car but look good.
