1972 Chevrolet Pickup Truck in original condition
Description
This listing is for an absolutely hard to find 1972 Chevy K20 four wheel drive Pickup truck. It was manufactured in the Sacramento, CA plant and was purchased by an driven in the high, dry, hills of Oregon until I purchased it and brought it to Iowa in 2016. I have been buying, restoring, and rebuilding these 1967 - 1972's since 1979, owning over 250 of them since that time. This truck sits in the top five of all of them for an original specimen. It has it's original paint job. There are no accident repairs or rust repairs on it. It is 100% rust free, guaranteed. It is showing a nice even patina on the roof and somewhat on the hood, but it buffed out and is shiny and presentable. There are a few minor scratches etc. as you would expect from a truck that has been driven. We pulled the original 350 c.i.d. engine and checked the rod and main bearings, installed an R.V. towing camshaft along with a new timing chain set, intake manifold, and high pressure Z-28 oil pump. We repainted the engine and put it back in the truck. We also installed a B&M towing kit in the automatic turbo 350 transmission and a 3" deep chrome pan for better transmission cooling. Other work we did was replaced all the shocks, brakes, u-joints, and ball joints. Mechanically it is like a new truck. The interior is very nice with the factory correct parchment Cheyenne interior. It also sports a factory tachometer, headliner, and the dash pad is perfect. We replaced the carpet and inspected the floor pans, which was in beautiful shape. The truck also has a dealer add-on air conditioner which we have replaced needed items and blows ice cold. The tires are also new 33-12.50-16.5 mud terrains on 16.5" X 9.75" camper special rims. (I do have the factory hubcaps as well) The truck is "turn-key" and ready to drive home without any work needed. As Craig Jackson says ":They are only original once!" I really appreciate your considering this truck and please do not hesitate to call me for fastest answers to any questions you have. (563) 568-2993 before 8 p.m. CST
