MERRY CHRISTMAS..MERRY CHRISTMAS..MERRY CHRISTMAS..MERRY CHRISTMAS
Just in time for Christmas!Up for auction is my 1955 Chevrolet Short Wheel Base 3100 series pickup
My auctions are different than most...I will tell you EVERYTHING I know about this truck!
This is an auction. If you have less than 6 positive transactions with EBAY call mebefore you bid. I can be usually be reached at (678)488-5461.
Rare last of the Series-I Chevrolet SWB pickups! Built here in Atlanta, Ga where it has always stayed
I bought it from a man in rural Perry Georgia 150 miles south of AtlantaThis truck gets attention when ever I drive it! It's neat, dependable and fun to drive.Older restoration that still shows very well. Just had the door signs and pin stripping addedIf you do not care for them they can be easily removed. Every one likes the way they look. This is a good solid body, it has had the cab corners repaired professionally. The rest of the body seems very solid. The paint is a solid #2 condition. Not a show paint job but a a decent quality job. There are some blemishes but you do not notice them from 5 feet awayI just had it totally wet sanded and buffed. The door jambs, dash and doors were painted & look goodThe driverrear fender had some earlier damage but seems to have been repaired OK.You can see signs of the damage coming through very low on the rear of the fender.Replacement windows and window seals whenthe body was redone.I just installed a pair of NEW chrome bumpers on the front and rearThe emblems, mirrors, tailights have been replaced. It has quartz headlights. The bed is oak with stainless factory styled strips.I also just installed the wooden side rails for that RETRO look!A 350CI Chevy V-8 replaced the 6 cylinder & the 3 speed was replaced with a 350 turboAn impala rear end replaced the original rear end.Very road worthy and I drive it on the interstate.A new aluminum radiator and fan clutch was installed. Truck runs cool - no issuesAll of the power train was professionally installed! The engine has a Weiand aluminum intake and a four barrel carburetor.Hedman headers run into a recently replaced dual exhaust.I just had it tuned up and replaced the distributor with a new HEI unit. The interior was reupholsteredand seat belts were addedThis included a new seat cover in tan cloth, new door panels, rugs (showing some wear)The transmission works off of the original steering column and the steering wheel was refinishedThe fuel tank was flushed but the fuel gauge doesn't workOne side of the wipers don'twork. Probably a good idea to upgrade to electric wipersThe speedometer doesn't work. Not sure if the cable is installed??There is a tach but we couldn't get it to work with new new HEI distributor. It has a nice JVC Blue Tooth stereo with a CD changerThe truck is running a set of 15" Corvette chrome wheels and 4 radials. Not sure how old they are.We rebuilt the front end with new king pins, tie rod ends, etc and had it aligned.NO heater or defroster. There is a hidden kill Switch.
I truck is available to be inspected BEFORE the end of the auction. NOT AFTER!It is located in Cumming, GA 60 miles North from the Atlanta AirportIf you are the winning bidder it is yours so have your funds in order...
