1971 Chevrolet Camaro. 42,000 miles.
Description
For sale is a 1971 Camaro. It has the 200hp 307 motor with a TH350 transmission. The car was parked in a garage in 1987 due to owners health and sat for 30 years until I bought it from the original owner last year. The last inspection on the car was 6-27-87 with 41,560 miles on it. I was able to carefully remove the old inspection sticker and laminated it. The car currently has a little over 42,000 miles now. The body is in amazing condition. It does have a lot of surface rust, and had a bad repaint in its life. There are 3 small rust thru spots on the car in front of and behind the pass rear wheel well and in front of driver rear wheel well. There are also 2 small pinholes in the rear valance. There is no other rust on the car. There is a small dent on the front valance. The floorboards are mint and still in the factory ruddy brown paint. No rust in the trunk and still has the factory double whitewall bias ply spare tire. The car has been mechanically restored and the interior fixed up List of parts repaired or replaced: Brake system-New master cylinderNew wheel cylindersNew Inline Tubing brake lines/inc rear lines and all rubber brake hosesNew calipers/ cleaned and repacked wheel bearings4 New shocks Fuel System-Rebuilt Rochester 2 barrel carbNew fuel pumpNew Inline Tubing fuel/vapor linesFuel tank removed and cleaned Engine-Plugs/wires/cap/rotorHarrison heater core re-coredFresh coolant and new thermostatAll new hoses and beltsHeaders and dual exhaust with transverse muffler Interior-New PUI front seat covers and backrest seat coverNew DashboardEverything else originalAlso has 4 brand new NEXEN white wall tiresThe car runs and drives as it should. It’s like going back in time to 1971. AM radio still works with new speakers as well. Very enjoyable and safe car to drive. Transmission shifts smooth and the 307 doesn’t miss a beat. I routinely drive it to and from work which is a 44 mile round trip. I’ve tried to show everything possible in the pictures including any rust thru spots. Not too many second gen Camaros left in this original condition.Local Pickup Only. Car must be paid in full upon pickup and title transferred. Cashiers Check or Cash. (Would prefer cash).
