Description

Why This Car Is Special This is a 'nut and bolt' restoration that is phenomenal from top to bottom. Check out the photos of the underside to see the quality of the build. This is a real "VC" VIN, meaning it is an original V8 Bel Air from the factory. Mechanical This Tri-Five beauty has a freshly rebuilt 350 V8 with a freshly rebuilt 700R4 automatic transmission, making this a great cruiser. The engine is mildly built with a Comp Cams camshaft, Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake with Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, HEI and electric fuel pump. A Griffin aluminum radiator keeps this SBC nice and cool with the help of dual electric fans. An Optima Red Top battery has been installed along with Vintage Air. The 700R4 is a cruiser's transmission that will handle highway speeds with ease. It is connected to a 12-bolt rear end with 3.30 gears. The power steering is nice and tight with a CPP 500 steering box. The power disc brakes have upgraded drilled and slotted rotors providing plenty of stopping power. Tubular A-arms up front look and function better than stock. Ceramic coated headers run to true dual exhaust with an H-pipe and a mild street rod sound. This car isn't all go and no show. It has polished and chrome pieces everywhere you look under the hood, including: brackets, pullies, A/C compressor, alternator, valve covers and air cleaner. Interior The interior is restored to stock convertible style cloth and vinyl upholstery with seat belts and an Ididit tilt steering column. A modern AM/FM radio fits the factory holes and sounds great. Vintage Air controls are nicely added to the dash and don't detract from the original styling. Extra AutoMeter gauges have been tastefully added under the dash to keep an eye on the engine. Exterior Original 1955 colors of Gypsy Red and Shoreline Beige have been used during the restoration and go great with the rally wheels with knockoffs. LED taillights and LED 3rd brake light were added for safety. Nice chrome exhaust tips just peek out past the bumper to let a discerning eye know this car is not stock. Conclusion They don't come much nicer than this. This is a great combination of 50s looks with today's creature comforts. So, please call or text at 734-323-9260 or 727-688-1148. We also finance!
