I'm looking to sell my fairly solid patina clamshell 1948 Chevrolet Suburban with grille guard, spotlight and clear KS title. The current title matches the plate inside the drivers door. The Suburban is missing the second row seat and they moved the third row seat up into that position. I was told that it was used as a school bus in Nebraska and it has rear seat heat. At some point the center front floor needed a patch or covered so someone cut a porcelain Phillips 66 sign to cover it. The 216 engine in it is incomplete and appears to be locked up. The linkage for the 3 speed on the column is also disconnected. It rolls and steers fine and will have tires that hold air for transport. Some of the original clamshell latch and cable parts are missing but both gates open and latch properly. The doors and hood open, close and latch properly. It does have a few bumps from years of use. Both rear fenders are dented and have damage. The front guard has some slight bends. Both running boards have some slight bends in the outer edge. There's a small dent in the DS roof and a repair on the PS roof above the door. The rear valance is dented up as well. The lower door of the clamshell has a skim coat of filler in it but is an extremely solid door. The upper hinges are welded to the top gate of the clamshell. As far as rust goes there's some in the PS front floor and kick panel, a very small amount in the bottom of the doors, some in DS rear fender, and both rear corners are rusted behind the fenders. The inner interior panels and clamshell gates are solid. The glass is all old and some is cracked and needs replaced. The dash is complete other than the ash tray that was replaced with a clock years ago. The interior sunvisor brackets are missing. The Suburban will have a variety of roller wheels on it for shipping. Shutterfly picture album should tell the story. This is selling with no reserve and all serious buyers are welcome. Thanks for looking.
