1966 Corvette one owner, purchased from original owner, This car is fully documented with the protecto plate (POP) booklet, 427, 425 HP, 4- speed, 4.11 rear end. 2-top convertible with saddle leather interior factory and original Trim tag, convertible top was replaced about seven years ago and is very nice. Hard top is very nice. The original owner replaced the engine/ trans about 12 years ago and has a 1996 LT one engine with the matching Camaro six speed transmission that fits in the Corvette tunnel. That’s why he used that combination, to drive the car and that’s what he did.
The original engine and transmission is gone. Again it still has original dated 4.11 rear diff. that matches the POP. Runs and drives excellent. The 6 speed Trans gives you 2 overdrives so fuel economy is excellent. Drive as is and or Restore with correct engine later.
The original owner: David H Smith, purchased the car from Konnors Chevrolet Inc. in Caldwell New Jersey delivery date : 3-25 -1966. The Corvette was built approximately December 29, 1965.
Note, stated in the dealer protective plate booklet,: "give customer power brakes" And signed by the owner Mitchell Konnor.
Have Polaroid photo of the car 1976 dated and says California from New Jersey. On the back.
we can possibly provide a numbers matching 427 block at extra cost. and heads, intakevalve cover, that is an option.
Have one early California registration dated 1979.
Condition, body is very good.
paint is very old probably painted about 40 years ago, only a few paint type cracks.
paint quality is between poor and good up close.car is sold as is, and where is. I highly recommend you see the car in person if you are in the So.
