Real SS with original motor. Frame off restored, starting with a clean car. Same owner the last 11 years, he only put 100 miles on it! Very desirable red, with cowl induction, gauges and a 4-speed! This is the poster child of American muscle cars. EXTERIOR: Really clean metal. Bottom of fenders are clean, bottom door seams are clean. Passenger 1/4 panel is the original. Drivers side was properly replaced at the factory seams. It's a genuine code 75 cranberry... red car. The paint is very glossy. I did not see any significant flaws. The stripes are painted in the proper dimensions and their smooth. The vinyl top is in excellent condition. It has the cowl induction hood with pins and working flapper. Up front the hood pins, bumper, headlight bezels look new. Has correct T-3 headlights. In back the bumper is very shiny, has the correct SS pad and the cowbell exhaust tips. The wheels are the correct 14 inch with new trim rings. Weatherstrips look new. INTERIOR: Inside the car is restored. It features factory gauges, Am-Fm stereo and bucket seats. The seats have been reupholstered, the door panels, armrests, carpet and headliner are replaced. Dash area is really nice, no extra holes or cracks. The factory stereo works great, new speakers in back. The gauge package includes a tachometer. Under the dash is a new, probably more accurate gauge cluster. Heater controls look new, dash pad is not cracked. It has a Hurst shifter with the proper boot and retainer. All the seatbelts are GM. Steering wheel has a couple cracks in it. Glove box light works, has an owner's manual. Overhead interior light works ENGINE COMPARTMENT: I inspected the numbers closely and I believe this is the original motor for this car. The stamp pad has it's original broach marks which means it hasn't been tampered with. The motor build date is 1 month before the cars build date which is perfect. The code is CTX- 1970 Chevelle 396-350 hp mated to a 4-speed. It runs great, just like factory. It has been upgraded with HEI ignition. The carb was restored. The compartment was apart during the restoration and still looks very good. The components are stock but several parts have been chromed for a little pizazz. The cowl induction system is functional and complete. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Very clean metal. Trunk floor is original. Has a solid coat of the gray and aqua spatter finish. UNDERSIDE: Very clean metal with no rust or patches. The floors were so clean they painted them red during the frame off restoration. Chassis is black. It features the F-41 suspension which includes sway bars and boxed control arms. Has disc brakes in front, e-brake is hooked up. Has 4-speed with heavy duty bell housing.
