corvette 1963 very early 1st production
Description
Very early, maybe the earliest production car still around. This is the 34th car made with the 13th convertible. body. Car has had a modest frame up restoration back in 2008. Frame was taken off and sand blasted and painted. Birdcage was also check, but was is very good condition. Body has never been separated from bird cage. Found a tag that said "Lab Frame 70" riveted to the back rear drivers side frame. It was removed before frame was sent out for sand blasting. Looking for tag, as it was never put back ont he frame, as unknown what it meant. Picture is attached to show before it came off.Car has dealer code 000 and zone 00, which meant it went to GM, for unknown reasons.Car is a matching numbers 340hp 4 speed. Mostly all parts have been checked for dates, and all have dates in July and Aug 1962. (clock, dash, headlights, intake (June), block (July), heads (July),Can not remember too much as it was done in 2008 to 2010.Seats are 1963, but covered in heavy duty aftermarket material. From what I can tell its all the original glass. Front and bacg bumpers do need to be replaced. It has all 4 disc brakes.Motor was rebuilt with .20 over ( I am not exactly too sure as it was done over 10 years ago, and I have forgotten a few things).Car also has some type of rear spoiler made in the back, I left it their when I painted the car white. Original color is blue on blue. And spoke wheels have tubes. Car is very strong and fast. It is a driver, not a show car. But would not take much to be a show car. I have the hand brake and air filter, they were just not on the car when I did the pictures. Car does need light cleaning. All the big stuff has been done. You are really buying a very rare early serial number car. Not many cars left before # 34
