Here is a special car up for sale. This 72 Nova was fully restored, frame off restoration just finished 2019 by a good friend of mine who I am selling the car for. Money spent on the car was well over 45k and I have most of the receipts. One look and you can clearly see no expense was cut! Most of the parts on this car were purchased brand new from Classic Industries or Summit Racing or if mechanical were fully rebuilt by local machine shops or mechanics. As you can see photos documenting the restoration were taken. The car has been driven only 1200 miles since rebuilt. Well, my friend had his thrill with the car but tends to move on to the next one quickly! Always been that way, so this is a great opportunity if you want to own a classic muscle car in tip top shape. Exterior wise, the paint and body were done at Rite Way Auto Paint & Body. This is a 2 stage paint job color sanded and buffed. Upwards of $10,000 was spent on the paint and body alone. A dark blue was used on the base and gray trim with red boarder pinstriping was used on the center stripe. The gray color is paint and not a sticker. The car of course was painted as a shell and all the trim and fixtures were added after after complete. The floor pans were purchased brand new as well as the trunk section and replaced at the body shop. The frame was sanded, detailed and painted when the body was off. A new cross member was purchased and welded in to place.
All exterior trim including bumper, brackets, nuts, bolts, stainless steel window trim, door handles, locks and cylinders, headlights tail lights side markers and just about everything else on the outside of this car was purchased brand new from Classic or Summit and professionally installed. Front windshield glass is brand new, remainder of the glass all original. Windows professionally tinted and look great.
The interior was completely redone as well and when you close the door it snaps shut like brand new! The car feels solid when you are sitting at the wheel and could not have felt any better when brand new in 1972. As with the exterior trim, all the interior trim was purchased brand new from the headliner to the carpeting at either Summit or Classic Industries. Take a look at my video above for a detailed description. The interior looks beautiful as the dash was wrapped in leather with white stitching. It has a programmable Dakota digital dash cluster with blue lighting as well as an analog cluster of gauges for water temp, oil pressure and volts.
