Description

This is a slick-looking classic car icon. But beneath the mild-mannered appearance of a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air hardtop coupe lies a 502 cubic-inch beast of a motor. So as you look over all the custom interior and exterior, don't forget to checkout signs of the creature lurking within. This one is built to be a street machine, but you might not immediately pick up on that from the first impression. It's a real-deal '57 Bel Air, and... there has been a ton invested in restoring it just to be a beautiful classic. It starts with an ideal shade of bright red that has a modern clearcoat finish so it loves the sunshine. The panels look great, which also means the iconic full-length trim looks almost like an unbroken line. That front end is a hallmark all on its own, and it's shining like a 10,000-watt smile. But as people get close, they might start to notice details, like the lowered suspension (on an adjustable air ride control) and side exhaust tips. And while a '57 Chevy's tailfins are iconic, most people will be pointing to the rear of this one because of those massive rear tires that can barely be contained. Inside is a full custom setup for modern enjoyment. The tan leather seating looks great against the exterior red, and it's well coordinated throughout the interior. The bucket seats have modern bolstering for all-day comfort, and in-between is a custom center console that houses the power controls for the seats. There's even a power window upgrade so you never have to leave the driver's seat to show off the pillarless profile of this desirable Bel Air hardtop. And while this custom build is comfortable, it's far from just a coddler. You have a grippy sports steering wheel for your left hand, and your right one may never want to leave the comfort of the B&M shifter. Plus, the dash is dominated by a complete package of AutoMeter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite gauges. While we already told you the motor was a beast, you might have not expected it to be a beauty, too. The smooth painted engine bay and the ton invested on shining components gives this an award-worthy look. But what you'll really love is behind all the shine is the substance of a 502 cubic-inch monster motor. Not only is the big block rated for huge power right out of the box, but this also has the right upgrades, like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock heads, and headers that feed the growling side exhaust. Plus, you have the right supporting components, like a March serpentine pulley system, MSD ignition, an aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans. Getting all this power to the streets is a stout TH400 three-speed automatic that feeds a Currie 9-inch rear. And those huge Mickey Thompson 31x18.5 tires in the tubbed rear end love gripping the asphalt. As you check out the undercarriage photos, you'll see some impressive details, like the polished Heidts A-arm front suspension, and the four-link rear with stabilizer bar and adjustable coilovers. And there's even power steering and Baer four-wheel disc brakes to tame this beast. Complete with build receipts, this one combines iconic looks, a comfy interior, and a motor that will thump them all on the streets. This is an awesome custom Bel Air, and it can all be yours if you call today!
