We can just picture a few beach bums with mop top haircuts loading their surfboards into this cool van after a long day of riding waves. You too could boogie down to the drive-in at sunset after a day playing in the surf to get some In -N -Out Burgers. Or, maybe memories of an auto parts delivery van like this one that used to roll around the neighborhood is more relevant to you. However this van brings back nostalgia for you, we're sure it will also put a smile on people's faces around you. Other than a 350ci V8, custom exhaust, and widened wheels, this van is ready to roll in its highly original form.
Still finished in the original Chevy 'Light Green' paint (code 503AA) with plenty of patina showing, this van has such a cool look to it. White trim and bumpers match the white wheels. The rears are widened a few inches giving a larger contact patch for the tires to transmit the power to the ground. A single tailpipe exiting just before the rear wheels on each side gives a little hint that the engine has been upgraded.
In between the seats is a 350ci V8, rather than the 283ci that this van left the factory with a few decades ago. A 3-on-the-tree manual transmission hadles gear selection, while a posi-traction rear end helps to get the power to the ground.
The interior is pretty spartan, but is in good original condition only showing a few age related issues. A few cracks on the dashboard, scratches on door panels, and other small spots of wear are cool in our book, since this good 'ol van is highly original. Those spots add some character, and you can go tooling around with friends and not worry about scratches. There's plenty of room for surf boards and Betty's you may meet.
Don't miss out on this sweet ride, whether its a fun bit of neighborhood nostalgia for you, or a new ride for getting to the waves this rad van ready to tool around town!
