Vintage 1952 Chevrolet 2-Ton Flatbed Official Military U.S. Air ForceTruck
Description
Up for bid is an original 1952 Chevrolet 2-Ton (Loadmaster) flatbed dual-wheeled U.S. Air Force former military service truck. The truck was more than likely used as a U. S. Air Force airbase ramp or crew chief's maintenance vehicle for aircraft. The vehicle has several original emblems, insignia, and data plate info that confirm it was used for this purpose.
Very solid running original 235 cu. in. engine (no tailpipe blue smoke), 4 speed manual transmission, and an entirely gone through new brake system with a hard brake pedal on the first depress. Original Air Force blue paint with an aged natural antique patina. Very straight body and original solid floorboards with no rust problems. Original and high quality work reupholstered interior coil spring bench seat, OEM spec factory floor mat, door panels, and headliner are all new and restored to original factory specifications. Diamond plate steel 14-foot-long flatbed.
This truck really gathers the crowds, at all parades, military veteran's events, and air shows. It's a lot of fun to see at business storefronts or just having around in the yard. It still can be used as a reliable heavy duty work truck, too.
