NO RESEVE AUCTION 1971 Chevy Corvette "Barn Find" In Storage For 30 years.
Appears to be a "no hit" body, car is very straight. We have not started the motor or driven the car.Paint is a funky 70's paint scheme. I bought this from the 2nd owner who purchased the Vette from his business partner in 1973. He painted the car himself in this color scheme. Car originated in Florida until 1989 and moved to Indiana where it has been in storage since 1989, 30+ years. Picture as I found it shown in photos. I also will have "For Sale"a 1986 Buick Grand National that accompanied this Vette. stored 28 yrs.
Motor is the original to the car (numbers listed below). We fogged the motor and lubricated. Hand turned motor and turned freely. Tested coolant and was fine at-30+.4 speed manual transmission. Frame on the car is solid with no rot, no mice damage. Car stored very well, nice and dry conditions. The body panels and fit are very nice, seems to be a "no hit" car. Paint actually has held up very well with no major cracks or imperfections showing past damages, paint is just bright and screams funky and cocaine 70's. Its kind of cool, the car held up extremely well for long time storage.
Interior is all original and stock. Foam is starting to break down as usual in seats. No odd smells. Glass on car seems to be all original. Chrome and trimare all intact withno major dents or damage on trim work, just dirty and tarnished.
Original wheels come with the car, we had to place these wheels on the car in order to move it. Tires where flat with dry rot.
This is a great candidatefor a restoration project, car is all intact and the body and frame are excellent. Body panels and etc are very nice with no issues or previous damage coming thru! Clean canvas to work with.
Again as Stated: Car has NOT been started or driven. You Are Buying "As Is" Condition With No Warranty. Car can be inspected by appointment.
