Description

For sale is a one-of-kind 1972 Chevrolet Suburban. This suburban was pulled from the rafters of an old barn where it was literally hanging from the ceiling. Over the next year and half this the transformation to the beast you see here took place. Every inch of the car was addressed, including paint & body, mechanical, electrical, cooling, audio, tires, wheels, suspension, steering, climate control, you name it. Over 2,000 labor hours have gone into bringing this beast back to life.
To start the body was cut, weld and fabricated on to replace all the rusted and worn out sheet metal with new. The original style plywood rear bed floor was replacedwith a custom made pickup bed style steel floor. Addition custom sheet metal touches was to convert the front end to a 1967style for a more sleek andaggressive look. All front sheet metal isinterchangeable should someone wish to convert it back to 1972 era style. Once the all thesheet metal and body work wascomplete a custom BASF base clear two-tone paint job was laid down. Pictures do not do this paint jobjustice. From the pearl white top to the forest green tri-coat main body, it is trulybeautiful. From there the next big step was to get the chassis built to match the body. Thefoundation is a 525hp LS3 engine and 4L75-E transmission from Chevrolet Performance. To split the power we went with the original overhauled NP205 transfer case because of its legendarystrength. Power gets to the ground with through the 3/4ton axles and Toyo M/t tires. The stance is addressed with a 6" Skyjacker suspension lift. The never system was next up. Every bit of original wiring was removed and replaced with a Painless performance harness. To make sure all the engine data was displayed in a original yet modern way we turned to Dakota Digital and their HDX dash system. This setup combines bothanalogand digital gauges to make sure to can keep track of what that 525hp is doing. The creature comforts are taken care of via a Vintage Air AC system, Retrosound stereo (bluetooth, Sirus XM, USB, Radio) and Kicker speakers. Incase other driver's don't hear that LS3 coming they will take notice when you hit the horn button activating dual airhorns.
Additional pictures of the restoration process are available and will be included with purchase.
