Description

For those of you who like the old-school look in a hotrod, this 1935 Chevrolet Master Streetrod sedan should be right up your alley. In a sea of roadsters and coupes, this 4-door sedan offers a lot of features that you can't get anywhere else, including a spectacular A/C interior big enough for the whole family and excellent road manners to go with its vintage performance look. a strong 350 V8 and offered with some choice options, this steel-bodied Chevy is turn-key and ready to go.
That's right, the body is indeed steel (fenders are fiberglass), a rarity in this day of entire fiberglass replicas. As a result, it has a solid feeling that is lost on many rods like this, and the way those doors close is something you just can't find on today's cars. The Chevy's styling is a bit out-of-the-ordinary compared to all the Fords you see running around, and to our eyes, it's a bit sleeker and more contemporary. We especially dig the way the rear of the bodywork flows out to follow the curve of the rear fenders, making for ideal proportions on the body. Silver Metallic and black is always a great choice on a '30s car, and when it looks this straight, there's no reason not to use it. The paint used on this beauty is usually reserved for bass boats, so there's a ton of metal flake to be found throughout, and the professional pin stripe work really adds another dimension to the finish. Sure, it's not a trailer queen, but this streetrod was meant to be driven and is beaming with curb appeal. Fortunately, the bodywork is in good shape underneath that glowing paint and it's been accented with many of the factory details remaining in place, including that fine mesh grille insert, and original-style headlights. Other nice features include rubber-covered running boards, a slide-back sunroof, teardrop taillights, and the original hood ornament just to dress things up a bit.
The fully reworked interior is absolutely stunning dressed in high-quality silver-and-black vinyl, and if you like the color combination, you're going to love spending time in here. The modern front buckets are supremely comfortable and in great shape, while the matching rear bench seat has likely never been sat in. The upscale upholstery patterns have a contemporary look (many stylish exotics are outfitted in similar patterns these days) that suits the car perfectly and the matching pleated door panels are a great touch. VDO gauges in a custom center-mounted billet instrument panel keep tabs on the important stuff up front, and there's a comfortable late-model steering wheel atop a tilt column that really stands out. Features like Vintage A/C and power windows add to the driving experience, making this a car that's ideal for long-distance hauls. That aforementioned full-width rear bench makes room for some friends or family, the black carpets are plush, and the entire cabin was fully insulated to protect the cabin from outdoor elements.
Power comes from a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 with the usual upgraded goodies to make every drive highly entertaining. There's great pop inside, an Edelbrock 4-barrel carb up top, an Accel ignition system powering it all, and plenty of chrome and polished bits to make it flashy under the hood. It starts easily and runs well, so start planning your road trip now. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and heavy-duty rear end are critical links in the reliability chain, and the burbling dual exhaust uses throaty-sounding chambered mufflers to make that awesome sound without getting annoying. The front suspension appears is a Mustang II setup with rack-and-pinion steering and power front disc brakes, so it steers and handles like a modern car, and there's air shocks out back that help set the stance perfectly. Polished slotted mag wheels look great and carry 215/70/15 front and 225/70/15 rear Cooper Cobra tires for a slightly staggered look that doesn't rub in corners.
A very cool, well-built rod that's definitely going to get lots of attention everywhere it goes. If you love practical, unusual rods, this slick Chevy gets everything right. Call today!
