1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 2 door with SS options
Description
1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in good, totally stock condition. ALL ORIGINAL, has not been a teens toy, with all documentation. This is a two door hard top. This vehicle has SS options but was not sold as an SS, two door hardtop, bucket seats, center console shift, AC, tilt steering, 12 bolt rear end, 300 HP
350 CI small block, 3 speed automatic transmission. All original, all there and untouched! The only SS came with the 454 in 1970, the 350 HP 350 was next in line but not labeled as SS. This is the very first year of the Monte Carlo.
I have two spare bumpers, front and rear, a spare front grill, new GM chrome fender molding all the way around, a new GM turn signal unit.
Vehicle starts and runs! has a new battery. Transmission shifts and operates very well, engine runs and starts just fine, has stock 4 barrel QJ. I drove this from my other house where it was garaged. hits on all 8 but has sat for years and needs plugs and wires.
Vehicle has been parked for 10 years, it is a little dirty, and has not been a daily driver during this time....I do start it once a month, and I drove it 10 miles last week with a permit to its current location.
This vehicle is a perfect restoration vehicle, it is a very solid classic, there is a bit of rust around the rear window (which is normal and common for these and as you can see I put sealing tape over areas to keep area covered). There has never been bodywork done to this car, no non factory body filler, glass is all intact and in good shape. The interior needs headliner and upholstery work. Body needs paint, (surface oxidation/patina and light surface rust. Undercarriage is rust free, mostly still has original undercoat in place.
I have a binder with ALL of this vehicles history I am the second owner and it was owned by a lady driver.Originally sold in Long Beach, CA. and always in California, minimal rust, NOT a rust bucket! trunk and floors are not rusted out like many! Owners manual, original warranty, repair receipts, registrations, factory build slips, 915 page 1970 Chevelle, El Camino and Monte Carlo Factory assembly instruction manual. 2 sets of keys, CLEAN TITLE IN HAND.
Not currently registered, last registration was 2007 which is not a problem unless you are a California buyer. California wants these classics off the road, so if you are a California buyer the registration will be $780 for the first year. I was going to restore this, but I am going in for back surgery instead. Enjoy!
