1949 chevy 3100 1st series 1/2 pick-up truck
Description
Up for auction, 1949 Chevy 3100 (1st series) 1/2 ton pickup. I bought this truck in the Spring completely disassembled. It took my trailer and two pickups to get it home. Now it's a turn-key: not a show truck, it's a go truck. A South Dakota license plate was in one of the many boxes so that's probably where it came from. I did no body work, left all the dings and pings (good patina) just painted it hot rod black. Clear Indiana title. Signs on the side are magnetic and not included in this auction. What's been done: 12-volt speedway wire harness, new water temp, fuel gauge, oil pressure all work. Rebuilt 216 motor, new wheel cylinders, brake shoes (manual brakes), new truck bed (wood) stainless bed strips, tailgate chains, etc. New 1-wire alternator, 15"rims & tires to give it a lower stance. New door panels, door latches, weather stripping. New fuel sending unit, new head & tail lights, turn signals all work. New fan belt, new front splash guard. Fresh tune-up. New sun visors, new windshield, back window and seals. All new exhaust. Rebuilt Rochester carb. New cab mounts. 4-speed trans. New dash lights, horn works. What needs to be done: Headliner (I have it, not installed). Window regulator is stripped on passenger side, but I have a new one( not installed). Vacuum wiper needs to be looked at. Speedometer, not sure what's wrong there. Windows roll up and down but hard. I have new window bushing kit, not installed. What I have done to this truck has been done properly, now it's up to you to finish it - don't want any cry-babies. I buy, fix, and sell project cars & trucks and love doing it. Please ask questions, call, come by. Truck is for sale locally & I reserve the right to end the auction if it is sold. Thanks. Jack (765)397-3492
