This Camaro roared off the assembly line in 1969 finished in this eye-catching Rallye Green color, and equipped with the highly sought-after Z/28 High-Performance Option package. The Z/28 package was undoubtedly the most desirable option, adding a high-performance 302ci V8 powerplant, with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and 12-bolt Posi-Traction differential putting power to the ground. This example retains its original DZ-coded 302 engine with correct heads and carb, along with correct 4-speed manual transmission, and correct 12-bolt 4.10 Posi-Traction rear end. This example wears the original smog equipment, as well.
This Generation 1 Camaro is an attention grabber and has benefitted from a comprehensive professional restoration, repainted in correct Rallye Green with White stripes. The body on this Camaro is outstanding, perfectly straight panels with the correct gaps show the high-level of craftsmanship that this car was subject to. All the exterior chrome and brightwork was replated, repolished or replaced during the restoration, and the car also features a functional Cowl Induction hood, correct 15" Rally wheels and newer Radial T/A tires.
Inside, the cabin is also in outstanding condition throughout and features all-new upholstery with bucket front seats, wood grain center console, wood grain trim, floor shifter and console gauges. The 4-speed manual shift lever sits proudly above a correct and impeccable center console with the four factory gauges. The seats are covered in the correct white vinyl and all are in As-New condition with no discernible flaws. The dash, facia, gauges and controls, headliner glovebox, carpets, knobs, and lights are all correct and in excellent order. A correct Rosewood steering wheel rounds out this Camaro's showroom condition interior. The trunk, as well, shows excellent, correct jack, spare and floor covering are all present.
