The Impala was introduced in 1958 and was an instant success. 1965 would be the first major restyling of the Impala which was met with great enthusiasm. Selling a total of over 1 million cars that year which is still to this day a record that no one has come close to topping. This real SS Impala has been brought back to its correct cowl tag specs and looks amazing. The exterior is in excellent condition with no signs of mud and the fitment gaps being up to factory tolerance the body of this car is as straight I have seen. The Madira Maroon paint shines nicely with the chrome trim making the car look even better. The weld centerline wheels finish off the outside and complete the extremely clean look. Under the hood the 327 small block was recently cleaned up with the addition of some chrome valve covers as well as a chrome alternator. Ofcourse if you don't feel like keeping all that shiny stuff shiny the original valve covers and alternator are included in the sale. Backing up all that power is a great feeling Muncie M20 that feels great with the clutch still having plenty of pedal running through the gears in this Impala is an absolute pleasure. The new shocks that were just installed give the SS that big car ride that you expect. Inside the black vinyl interior is in excellent condition with the bucket seats being a highly sought after option. The center console houses the 4 speed shifter giving this 2 door hardtop a very sporty feel. The Impala is one of those cars that have stood the test of time.
