1966 Chevelle Smokey Yunick Tribute car Big Block 4 speed
Description
1966 Chevelle Malibu built to look like the infamous 66 chevelle number 13 that was built by Smokey Yunick to compete at the Daytona 500. This car look itselfis very correct, has a 1973 dated Big Block 454 with a aluminum intake, HE, holley 800 chokeless carb, a comp mutha thumpr cam and side exit race exhaust. The transmission is a1966 Dated Muncie M20 wide ratio with a hurst shifter. A 10 bolt rear end with road gears finishes it out.Mostall of the bushings were redone when it was built, along with all new brakes and new BFG radial TA 275/60/15 tires all the way around.Originally bought rust free by the previous owner in 1993 and was almost immediately parked in a barn until it was configured into the tribute car it is today in 2009. It has been on the road and regularly driven since then with many miles and roadtrips done.It is currently tagged and titled and insured in my name.It is very reliable, doesn't get hot and is a blast to drive. Single seat, rollcage, race gauges, toggle switches to turn the lights and turn signals on and a push button to start it. It all screams vintage race car. The body is a solid 8 out of 10, while there is no rust, it has some "character" marks here and there to make it look like an old race car. The interior is raw and race oriented, the doors shut tight, the windows roll up and down and I have all new weatherstriping for it...but I like the rattle, gives it the race feel. I have a video of the car showing a cold start, 62 PSI of oil pressure and instant throttle response if you are interested in hearing it.
