Description

For your consideration, with a low reserve is a wonderful 1979 Chrysler LeBaron 4-door sedan. The car appears to have been a One elderly Owner vehicle and lived it's life in Largo, Florida, where it was purchased new at Suncoast Chrysler-Plymouth in Seminole, Florida in 1979. Complete with original front plate still installed from the dealer! Just over 38k original miles. Garaged condition. Complete with Florida Title.
It is equipped with the desirable 318c.i. V8 engine. The engine fires right up with a pump of the gas, and the flick of the key. It runs strong, and smoothly with no carb odors. The alternator appears to be replaced. All fluids are full and appear clean. The mechanicals all seem to have been tended too, and the car very well kept.
The transmission shifts silky smooth like clockwork, and the suspension, steering, and drivetrain are very solid and tight. The car floats like a cloud down the road, and reflects the low mileage. Steering is effortless. Its an absolute pleasure to drive.
The exterior of the car looks crisp and straight. There are normal dings/scratches and minor bleminishes. All chrome and brightwork sparkles. Due to the age of the car, some of the chrome does have minor pitting here and there but all sparkles in the sunlight. The grille, taillights, glass, and hubcaps look beautiful. Even the windshield appears original. The white paint shines beautifully. The right rear quarter panel appears to have been painted a long time ago, and has a small ding around the wheel well (see pics.) where it also affected the chrome wheel-lip trim. The rest of the paint appears original. Inner wheel well lips have some surface chips/very solid just minor surface rust. The green vinyl top, and exterior vinyl door trim is in just about new condition. The green inlay door trim rub strips are bold straight, and bright as new. No fading, and the vinyl is pliable and excellent reflective of a garaged Southern car.
All 4 door jambs look great with no rust or rot on the bottoms of the doors. The body FILLER panels (between the bumpers and front and rear fenders) are intact and excellent shape. The hood mounted turn signal indicators work brightly as they should. The inside of the trunk is bone dry, and looks and smells new. Spare tire is absent, but the original jack is intact. All 4 tires appear EXCELLENT. Frame and undercarriage are very solid and clean. Even the original battery case is still intact.
The green velour interior looks beautiful. Smells dry and clean. The original Leather wrapped steering wheel is soft to the touch almost like new. The seats and carpets have some minor sun-fade nonetheless look great. Headliner sags a bit here and there but looks nice. All door panels, dashboard, interior chrome accents, and faux wood trim are gorgeous. Even the Chronometer digital clock works. The A/C needs to be re-charged or repaired (doesn’t blow cold). All power windows work beautifully and quickly. TILT steering wheel, and cruise control too. The factory original AM/FM Stereo comes in clear as a bell, and the speakers sound wonderful. The POWER drivers seat works as it should, quick and powerful. The switches, knobs, levers all "click" with low-mileage precision. The metal and vinyl dashboard looks great and has no cracks. Even bears the original Chrysler factory keys.
Good-luck on the bid on this wonderful, original LeBaron. It is certainly one of a kind, and hard to find or replace in such overall condition, being a One Owner, garaged Florida car.
