Chrysler: Imperial Crown Convertible ~ Rare Car ~ Looks and Drives Great ~ IN LA
Description
1966 Imperial Crown Convertible
The best year for the Imperial being the first year of the 440 V8 and the last year of the body on frame. Only 514 convertibles produced in 1966, so it is a rare find.
Some years ago, this car came from the Doc Bullock collection in Saratoga California. His collection (it peaked at 155 cars) is a legend among Imperial collectors. Sadly, most of the cars were dismantled and this one is one of the few survivors.
This car shows very well and it drives great. It goes down the freeway at 80+ mph without any problem and without any wobble.
This past weekend, I took a 400 mile trip in the car and it performed like a champ.
White exterior with black interior and black convertible top.
Featured equipment includes the 440 cubic inch V8 Engine, AM/FM Radio w Power Antenna, Power Brakes, Power Bucket Seats etc.
All power windows operate and the fitment with the top is great. The 2 plastic pieces for the parade boot are included with the sale of this car.
The convertible top is in excellent condition goes up and down (with manual help). There is no wind leak when in the up position.
The leather seats need to be redone and while the power windows do operate, the front ones need some help raising. Also, the AC needs to be charged.
The tires are brand new last week. The wheel brake cylinders are brand new last week. The Interstate battery is brand new last week.
The engine and transmission have been rebuilt and the front end redone.
This California car is rust free and the chrome is not pitted. It is in excellent condition for its age and it is a great car to haul a large group around in.
