Description
Selling my highly modified 1972 Datsun 240z with RB25DET Skyline engine swap. Virtually everything has been upgraded - nothing needs doing to this car mechanically, everything is done. Clean title, registered in CA, title in hand in my name
Every mechanical system has been rebuilt or upgraded to a high standard
The car was in storage for 20 years prior to the build, minimal rust originally - only the floor pans were replaced and the chassis is stiffened with 1x3 tubing all the way back to rear subframe
RB25 engine has been rebuilt - donor car was a 79k miler Skyline GTS - engine, transmission & turbo are stock. All forged internals (Manley rods / CP pistons)
279rwhp - Power was tested on dyno in November, along with tuning to run on Premium gas (systems can also run on E85 with retune). Videos of dyno runs available
Every system was specified to run upto 600rwhp - upgrading the stock turbo to a more powerful output, upgarde injectors and an ECU tune can achieve this goal. Ive never needed the extra power to be honest as it runs super quick, pulls hard when you want to with boost and is a blast to drive
She runs perfectly, I drive twice a week to work (40 mile roundtrips- mix of freeway and local roads) and weekend drives. Starts & runs perfectly every time, no issue at all, no dramas
I purchased the car last year directly from the builder who has built a number of Z cars (electrical engineer) - selling as im English and will be moving home sooner than planned in the next few months. I cant afford to pay the shipping and taxes back to the UK
Paint is 7/10 - a ten footer! Cosmetically if you want perfection or a show/garage queen then youd want to repaint and re-install some of the interior panels
