Description

1971 Datsun 240z with a small block 350 Chevrolet engine and a 700r4 transmission along with a R200 rearend and A/C. I'm the second owner after the conversion, body work and paint were completed. I purchased the car in Southern California. It does have a clean title. The owner before me did an excellent job in designing the car and engineering all the necessary components. Once I purchased the car, I proceeded to pull the motor and turbo 350 transmission. With the engine compartment clear, I spent hours cleaning painting and re routing electrical, brackets and water hoses and re designing the 700r4 placement. This is not a trailer queen and built to be driven on the street. I have found no signs of rust and the body is very straight. I would rank the paint as a 7, with a few flaws here and there. The interior is clean and all stock. The car always draws lots of attention where ever I go. Here's a more detailed list of parts.
350 Chevrolet 2 bolt engine, cast crank, chevy rods, Speed Pro Hypereutectic flat top pistons, 10;4 to 1 compression. Pro Header aluminum heads(purchased assembled from Shaw City Engines of Fresno CA), 2.02 intake, 1.60 exhaust, 64cc combustion chambers, I installed head studs instead of head bolts, ARP screw in rocker studs, Dart push rod guide plates, Comp Cams push rods, Scorpion aluminum rockers, Gold series stud girdles and Poly Locks, Elgin Mechanical Flat Tappet Duntov 30/30 cam, double roller timing chain, aluminum timing chain cover, aluminum water pump, short tube powder coated headers, Edelbrock Performer Air Gap intake manifold, Quick Fuel 650 mechanical secondaries carburetor, Holley fuel pump, HEI distributor, Fabricated Aluminum valve covers, Mini starter, Optima dry cell battery, new power brake booster, new 700r4 four speed transmission w/ overdrive that was built at Shift Management Inc of Sacramento CA with the following components: Beast shell, Stage 2 shift kit, Raybestos "Z"Pak, Truck servo, Non lock up 10 vane Pump converter. Scat flex plate, new drive line with new yoke and u joints, R200 rear end with 3:54 gears, non LSD, upgraded axles with Birfield CV joints, all fuel lines from fuel tank have been replaced. All hoses in the engine compartment are new, windshield wiper motor and assembly have been removed since the car is never driven in the rain(I'll include this with sale) JTR 2 piece hood latch(so that you can pull the distributor with no interference). Radiator is new as well. Brake light assembly is from a 260z. The previous owner did an excellent job with installing the A/C. Most people don't see the compressor. It's currently set up for R12 and should be converted to R134a. I have never used the A/C and all components appear to be professionally installed. 4 wheel discs brakes and the struts appear to be stock. The wheels are Konig with BF Goodrich tires. Front and rear bumbers are fiberglass. The car runs great on 91 octane fuel. The short block engine has 2500 miles and the top end of the motor only has 400 miles. The transmission has 50 miles on it.
I'm sure that I've missed a few items. Email me if you have any questions.
