Description

I have decided to list my 280z. It has a recent restore, and recent paint job, which has been sitting inside with a car cover for about 6 months now.
It is the 2.8L, 4sp manual the car originally came with.
Unfortunately I don't have the time to drive it or take it to car shows like it should be, so it sits in my garage with the occasional startup.
I have had everything done to this car. It has a book of receipts, dating back to when the PO bought in ~1993. It was kept in Scottsdale, and came to Indiana years later. I bought it, and restored it to full running condition. Afterwards, it was sent to a paint shop, where it was meticulously worked on for a year. The body has NO rust. It was sprayed with an undercoating, all lines matched perfectly, doors fit perfectly, paint is beautiful and deep, all the way up to the roof. The sunroof was taken completely out, sandblasted, painted and returned to the car with new seals.
Interior was done at the same time. Brand new full leather seats with heating elements, radio, speakers, carpet was replaced more recently, so it was removed and washed. All interior was taken out, hidden structure supports added to the roof, interior covered with rubber lining, then a 70mm(?) layer of sound deadening, with the carpet glued over. All panels were taken out, cleaned, polished back to black. The dash was cracked, but taken out and repaired, only to keep it from getting worse. I still leave the carpet cover over the dash.
Motor was stripped down to the exhaust manifold, and new gaskets all the way up. Intake and valve cover painted with a hammered black / blue accents.
Brakes are all new. New calipers, rotors, pads, along with new drums, springs, shoes, etc in the back. Wheels have new tires on them.
Transmission hasn't been messed with, 4 sp manual. A lot of the parts on the engine are new (brake master, slave cyl, master cyl, etc).
There is only a few things wrong with the car. It was sitting outdoors after a drive, where I was letting it cool before it went back into the garage, and something blew up and scratched the cowl. The main scratches were filled and painted, with NO clearcoat. There is still a small whiteish ring (quarter sized). It needs to be taken to a shop, and have the cowl repainted in the area that it was scratched. The mirrors are kind of floppy. I didn't like the way they were screwed in originally, but haven't found a good solution. They aren't floppy enough to fall out, but they will jiggle if you try to move them. The ebrake doesn't work. Not sure if it's the cable or inside the brake drum, but should be an easy fix. AC is R12, and doesn't blow too cold, but does have enough R12 left in it to turn on. There is 2 holes in the doors for tweeters, but I haven't found a set I liked yet. The wiring is already hooked up, it's just a plug and place kind of deal.
Everything about this car was done right. I don't need or really want to get rid of it, but I'd like to see someone have a better home for it than sitting in my garage, and could give me money to fund a new project. This car is absolutely a show car, but could use a little more to really put it over the top. I haven't found the time to get into it yet, but eventually everything above will be fixed.
I will consider almost any trade (no trucks, no junk). I wouldn't mind another car, but if your car isn't worth this much, please be willing to add cash or more to the trade. I have cash & lot's of other things I can add to a trade as well. The price on these cars are growing rapidly.
My interests include:
Porsche, Ferrari, GTR, Skyline, other 240z/260z Datsun, Nissan, 300zx, Tesla, Projects, - Pretty much anything; Surprise me, the worst I can say is no.
