Description

Up for bid I have a 1973 Datsun 240z. This is a solid rust free and very original California/Arizona car. This is a Garage Find! I acquired this car from the original owner! She parked the Z in her garage in 1991 and it remained there for 28 years under a car cover until my recent acquisition this year. This is a true survivor car. Everything is here and in solid condition. No rust, no accident damage, no panel replacement. It does show a few small dents and dings and it was repainted at some point in its life but again, it is a solid car. All of the trim, glass, lenses, hubcaps are all factory original and nice. The Interior is in clean condition particularly considering this car is 46 years old. You just don't see interiors this clean in a car of this age. Yes, of course the dash does have a few cracks, very typical of the Z's. It has the original Sanyo cassette/radio. Factory A/C too! The owners manual and warranty documents are in the glove box.
The engine is the original numbers matching L24 complete with dual carbs and all emissions equipment. Everything in the engine bay is complete. At some point a larger radiator was installed. It also has what are believed to be original four speed transmission and rear differential.
Prior to putting it up for sale the owner had her grandson make some efforts to get it running again. He added a few new parts. Fuel pump, water pump, spark plugs. As of now the L24 does turn over and run. It does however have a "tick" coming from the top end of the engine. So, the head will need to be looked at. The issue is not in the bottom end.
Odometer shows 41,507 according to the original owner it has rolled over once.
Bottom line...if you are looking for a genuine, clean and rust free 240z to bring back to life this is the car for you. A real survivor. You wont find another like this.
