1961 Dodge Sweptline from So Cal Desert
For sale is my 1961 D200, Custom Cab, very solid truck. I bought this truck 15 years ago in the California desert town of Lancaster (out near Edwards AFB) Other than fire it up and clean the inside, I never did anything with her and it is time to move on. This truck has been stored either in the desert or under cover for all of the 15 years, other than about 6 months.
The truck was factory red with a white top and was repainted blue before I acquired it. The is body is nice with only a couple of minor issues in the door corners and fender bottom. The hood, door bottoms and bed are very solid. The rare Custom body trim is complete and intact.
There are a couple dents and the floors have a nickle size corrosion spot. The previous owner welded a sheet over the floor to cover them. The steps and rockers are in great shape.
The very nice one year only grille is included. I removed for safe keeping and hung it on the wall. It goes with the truck.
Nice gauge cluster
Body mounts are solid
Poly 318 runs
Gas tank clean and solid
Need some TLC and brake service.
I transport vehicles for a living and can deliver anywhere within the continental US for a very reasonable price. Truck located in Northern Alabama, 2.5 hours from Nashville, 3 hours from Atlanta.
