Description

This is one of the finest 1957 Dodge D-100 Stepside Shortbox trucks I have ever seen or heard of, This is a true survivor. This truck was purchased in 1987 by my father from theoriginal owner, Dad had it for years and went to car shows, I received it in the mid 1990's, I trailered the truck from Illinois to Iowa, At that time I found the ORIGINAL BUILD SHEET in the frame, The truck has never seen snow or rain to speak of. This gem I sold to another owner at that time and I lost track of the truck. I ran into the man several years ago and bought it back, It is original paint from the cab forward, The box and boards he had repainted due to age, He also replaced the wood inside the box, Not because it was shot, It was just old looking. This isa STUNNING truck that has had the frongt bumper chromed as it was painted from the factory, Still has the original seat, headliner, Door Panels ect. This is not a easy thing to find and these are excellent. He did put wide whitewalls and 1957 Dodge Lancer hubcaps on the truck, I DO HAVE the original wheels and caps. I love this truck and it has history in my family, But College time has come for our son. This truck has no putty, or scab paint, This is the real deal. PLEASE EMAIL ME or call anytime my cell at 319-461-5598, The truck is stored in SE Iowa ( Wellman ). This gem when my dad bought it had 16,000 Miles, Now it has 28131, I can say so much more about the truck if needed. The body is like it came new from The Factory. The original color is BAYVIEW GREEN, This truck runs out super!! Always a head turner, When have you seen one like this, Also 1957 was the first year for a 12 Volt system. I have never stepped in the box, I have the build sheet, Original hangers for the tailgate, And MANY other items that come with.
