1973 Dodge Challenger Base Hardtop 2-Door 5.6L
Description
I am the seventh owner of this Challenger and have kept it the longest of all previous owners. It has been garaged by me for the last 15 years - previously kept under a top-of-the-line car cover. I am no longer able to put the TLC, time and money into the car that it deserves and must try to part with it. I purchased it February 1994 from a friend who gathered previous owner registration copies from the DMV. I have all of his repair records as well as mine, and will relay any needed information that I have.
Edelbrock Performer installed 12/2014. It is a numbers matching car. I do not have the original radiator. The wiper motor was repaired 6/2010. Car was painted and reupholstered (seats, carpet, headliner, trunk, rear deck) in 1998. I was not completely happy with the paint and body work but it is a good-looking car with originalside scoops andRallye stripes. I also have the original 340 air cleaner but took it out for preservation.
When I replaced the carpeting, I discovered the wrinkled floor pan on the passenger side, and also the wrinkled right side inner fender well. It appears the car was hammered on the right side but I have never noticed any real problems in driving it. It's an old, very fun car to drive and gets many compliments. It could use plenty detail work as well as some more extensive work, depending on what you are wanting or willing to do with it. I got it looking decent and that's where I had to quit due to money constraints.I will throw in another new molded carpet kit if you're interested.
Original Oregon car. I will answer any questions you may have to the best of my ability.
