Description

Up for bid is a 1973 Dodge Dart Sport. This is a 318 Sport that I have owned for several years. I've enjoyed restoring i, but the only thing left is paint and body, which I don't do. I'm ready to move on to another project and introduce this one to it's next owner.
This is an original dry Texas Dart. It's largely original, and everything that is expensive or hard to get is either still there or I replaced it. It has power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning, white/black bucket seat interior(Decor group) vinyl top delete and over the top stripe.
Mechanically, this Sport is in very good condition. The engine is a 1970 318 with less than 20K miles. X heads, early 340 intake and exhaust manifolds and a fairly aggressive cam. Topped with a '70 340 AVS carb. I detailed the engine when I installed it, new water pump, sealed the power steering pump and gearbox both and installed Lokar accelerator and "kickdown" cables. Runs great, no leaks, noise or smoke.
The original transmission was overhauled this year, I installed a TF-2 shift kit and Hughes converter. It also works great. The rear is the original 7-1/4 unit which is serviceable.
The fuel system was rebuilt including tank, sender and pump. The brakes were also rebuilt wheel to wheel, along with the entire front end top to bottom including 4 new shocks.
Cosmetically, this Dart is very solid. It's still wearing the paint it had when it left Dodge Main in April of 1973. There are areas of "history" but negligible rust confined to the very bottom of each rear quarter. Everything else is solid, original metal.
The interior is very presentable. I replaced the dash pad, added the nice steering wheel, sealed and soundproofed the floors, did carpet and that was about it. The upper seat cushion is "patched", the console is a 5 out of 10 and the front seats are very tired. However, I have a set of new Legendary covers for the fronts that you'll receive.
In conclusion, this will make a nice car to finish up from here. It's not a super rare car but an attractive one for sure.No missing parts like a lot of these. Documentation includes fender tag and preserved partial build sheet. Alabama does not issue titles for vehicles past 35 years old but I am confident I still have the cleat TX title.
This is a no-reserve auction started at a fair minimum. I require a $250 deposit via paypal within 48 hours after auction end. Those with zero feedback are welcome, but I reserve the right to cancel bids if I do not hear from you at some point outside of 24 hours from auction end.
I am located in Huntsville, Alabama. I can assist with shipping and loading if needed. Please ask any questions other than offers to buy it outside of eBay. I am also happy to provide additional pictures. Thanks for veiwing my auction and good luck!

I have added a picture of the fender tag.

Added pictures of floor and trunk undersides. There was originally a hitch bolted on to the spare tire well, so the dark spots you see are undercoating which has migrated down through those areas.
