1990 Dodge Dakota Pickup Convertible Sport: bad engine/otherwise great shape
Description
This is a rare collectible Dodge Dakota Convertible Sport pickup--one of 3000 or so made. It was my daily driver until the head started leaking. With around 150k engine should be rebuilt or swapped. The power steering was making noise just before this happened, and I have not addressed it. Otherwise the truck is in very good original shape. The auto transmission was rebuilt by AAMCO last year and works perfectly. The top is only a few years old and in good condition. The roll bar is padded and looks good. The body and frame are rust-free; the truck spent most of its life in West Texas. The interior and upholstery are good. She has been painted, and the paint is in good shape except for a scrape on the front bumper (shown) and usual wear on the bed, tailgate and rails--I have used this as a pickup, not a show piece. Truck has a receiver hitch. As shown, the rear bumper is not bent but needs an adjustment. Power windows, a/c, heat and original radio all work as they should. Drop in a V-6 and you should be good to go. Truck has a clean Delaware title and comes with the original manuals. She will start and drive--could be driven on a trailer--but should not run down the highway. This thing is a blast to drive and gets attention wherever I go. Can be seen in Lewes, DE. I have set opening bid below $1000, and no reserve. I expect her to go for much more, but low or high she will sell with this auction. $500 paypal deposit required within 48 hrs of winning--balance by cash or certified check within 10 days. Winner will have a lot of fun with this truck.
