Description

1971 Dodge Dart Swinger survivor

VIN

LH23C1R305012

Up for bid is a 2 owner 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger with 69k original miles .

I obtained this car from the friend of the original owner.

This car was purchased new in 1971 in Northeast Philadelphia Dodge Dealer by a career Military Marine and mostly sat in the garage on base.

It has the optional 225 Slant 6 engine, power steering, and factory air conditioning. It starts runs and drive like a clock.

It is a totally number matching engine /Transmission/ Differential with only 69,000 documented original miles.

Very very nice original black interior with the factory optional steering wheel.

It starts and runs excellent. Starts 1st click and idles down when warm.

Mechanically only issue I found is it does have an exhaust leak that goes away when warm. I think it is the manifold seal. Looked on Slant 6 forum and seems common.

The original roof is peeling but included with the sale is a new Legendary interiors correct vinyl roof ($300 value). It has the original jack and spare.

It drives like a solid super clean original paint car would. I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. It recently had $500 of maintenance performed at his repair garage including filters and new battery.

As far as the body it does have some parking dings, minor rust bubbles in rear splash are only, and chips that would be associated with a classic all original paint car.

As far as documentation I have al the good stuff.

The original owners manual, original window sticker; original build sheet, Dealer purchase order form and the cancelled check form. This car also has the original fender tag and firewall paint marking.

This documentation is really cool and a value adders to have on a 1971 Dodge survivor level car.

This car could easily go in the Mopar survivor tent at the Mopar shows.
