Description

Selling my 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T convertible.

Car is Y2 yellow, black top, white interior. Factory 440, Ramcharger hood, Super Performance Axle Package (4.10 Dana), console automatic, Rallye Dash, Light Package, Power Windows car.The axle package included the power disc brakes and upgraded “054” radiator. Has an SPD of 801 for Aug. 1st of 1968 and one of the unique VONs that indicate this was probably one of the factory show cars.Has original fender tag but no build sheet.Only 23 of the 69 R/T convertibles came with the 4.10 axle package.
Condition:
Today it is a decent driver, showing its age. The paint was done in the early 80s and has some cracking, chips and a scratch along the passenger-side quarter panel. From a rust standpoint, I think it is pretty solid, has an old repair on one of the front rails and the rear rails have some scale on them but I think are solid. One old patch under the gas pedal but the rest of the floors are good. Trunk extensions are gone but the trunk floor is good, doors seem good, fenders good. I assume some work was done at the bottoms of the quarters when it was painted, but they look pretty good. Rockers will need repair/replacement at some point. I put new carpet and Legendary seat covers and door panels in it 7-8 years ago and they still look good, top is in good driver condition with no leaks, dash works as it should but the gas gauge isn’t always accurate.Power windows all work, as does the power top.New wiring harnesses from Year One were installed under the dash and in the engine compartment. The “old” exhaust in several of the undercarriage pictures was replaced.
Mechanicals:
It has a 1969 block and I rebuilt the engine 7 years ago, has a Voodoo cam, KB pistons, 440Source Rods, 440Source aluminum heads, 440Source Deep Oil Pan, Pertronix Ignition, Holley SD intake and a Holley 770HP carb, and Year One reproduction iron manifolds. It starts reliably and runs very strong, while looking pretty stock and fits under the Ramcharger setup. I replaced the automatic trans with a Keisler TKO600 kit, which also works great and hasn't had any issues at all. The floor hump was trimmed cleanly and will be easy to put back in when the car is restored. Correct Dana 60 rear, no noises, etc. I built the driveline to be very reliable and it is, as long as the battery tender has been on it, it starts every time.Wheels are Torq-Thrust TKO, 17x7 and tires are Riken Raptor 255/50/17 all around.

I bought the car in 2005 near Erie, PA. At that time the previous owner said that the original block was in a yellow or orange 1970 Road Runner somewhere between Cleveland and Buffalo... If you're in that area and have a 440-powered RR, maybe check your VIN?

The car comes with the factory iron intake, the correct AVS carb, factory driveshaft for automatic/Dana, automatic shifter and parts. My cell is 765-994-5773, please call/text with any additional questions.
